Cad West offers something rare at the Mach Loop: the possibility of a genuine level-pass view, where aircraft pass almost at eye level rather than below. Depending on position on the hill, you can achieve a topside shot or a flat-on profile view. The latter produces some of the most dramatic photographs available anywhere in the Loop.
Aircraft approach from your left. If you are fortunate, they will bank left into Corris Corner after passing — potentially giving a second viewing opportunity on the same sortie. Cad West and Cad East share a common starting area and can be combined in a full day.

Nearest postcode: LL40 2SH. Parking is roadside with limited space. Do not block gates or passing places — if obvious spots are full, park further away and walk back rather than creating problems for local farmers.
